About Us
Well nearly everything is ready for
the upcoming National N-Scale
Convention in Sugar Land, TX. I
am looking forward to the trip and
meeting old and new friends. The
artwork for our next car is done. I
am looking forward to unveiling it
at the convention. Unfortunately it
is just a projected picture. But it
looks great! 6/6/10
I finished my table for my new
train layout. It went together pretty
much without incident. There was
only one letting of blood and it
only left a small stain on the table.
I took pictures of the various
stages of construction. You can
find below. It took about three
days to put together but I was only
working on it a couple hours a
day. It would have gone faster
with a second person. I hijacked
a friend a few times to help flip
over the plywood, especially after
the bracing was added. When i
was done with construction, I
sanded the surface with a battery
operated hand sander for a
smooth surface. No splinters for
me :) The total construction cost
was less then $100 including the
sawhorses I am using for legs for
the table. If you have any
questions about the table please
feel free to email them to me.
there will be further posts about
this project. The table will
eventually be mounted to a pully
system so it can be raised to the
ceiling in my garage when not in
use. And of course there will be
pictures of the layout as we build
it. 4/20/10
This wonderful portrait of me was
done at a train convention in
Denver in late February of 09. The
artist captured the essence of
what I looked like as a child.
Unfortunately I did not get involve
in model railroading until late in
life. I always wanted to but there
always seemed to be other things
to do.
For the past seven years I have
been collecting N-Scale items.
For most of that time I lived in an
apartment and model railroading
and apartments don't go together.
A little over two years ago I bought
a house and after a trying effort I
am finally all settled in. Now I
have the room to do a proper
layout. Myself and a couple of
friends have been busy talking
and conceptualizing. We will
soon start our project and we will
be posting progress pictures for
all to view. 12/14/09

Assistant Engineer Smokey is a five year old Queensland
Healer/Chow mix. She came to live with me 10 months
ago and now I can't imagine not having her around. She is
always there providing love and companionship. She is a
rescue dog from the Animal League of Green
Valley in southern Arizona.
